TEHRAN -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a decree on Monday granting amnesty to some prisoners and reducing the sentences of a number of others.

Earlier, Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani had written a letter to the Supreme Leader in which he made a proposal to grant clemency to 661 convicts on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution
